Cyclopolis’ technological research selected for EU funding!

The experiment concerns both the technical upgrade and the reduction of time-to-market for Cyclopolis’ sensor kit, which is designed for use in micromobility vehicles (shared bikes and scooters). The aim of the sensor kit is to collect valuable data on air pollutants in an efficient and cost-effective way, in order to identify pollution hotspots in modern cities. Its goal is to improve public health and well-being, as well as to reduce public healthcare spending.
The other members of the consortium are EURAC Research and Gruppo FOS, both Italian organizations based in Bolzano and Genoa, respectively.
The funding was secured through the Smart4All program.

EURAC Research is contributing its expertise to enhance the functionality of the sensor kit in the following areas:
- Multi-protocol gateways (LoRa, WiFi, BLE), including VPN
- Central orchestrator architecture
- Self-provisioning web portal
- Over-the-air (OTA) software updates
- Improved power management
Gruppo FOS is the “commercial partner,” offering its valuable expertise and network to successfully promote the results in the global market.
