Cyclopolis Experiment Selected by Smart4All

The consortium includes – in addition to Cyclopolis – EURAC Research and Gruppo FOS, both based in Italy, in Bolzano and Genoa respectively.

The experiment concerns the technological upgrade of the sensor-kit developed by Cyclopolis, intended for use on shared bicycles or scooters. Its goal is to collect environmental data from shared mobility means and generate knowledge about them in a cost-effective manner. The aim of the experiment is to promote public health and well-being.

EURAC will transfer technology and expertise to Cyclopolis with the aim of adapting the device to multiple communication protocols (LoRa, WiFi, BLE), upgrading it with remote programming capabilities, central management of all generated data, and optimizing energy management (collection and low consumption).

Gruppo FOS will contribute its expertise in product development and its promotion in the international market.

ERMES will be completed by the end of 2022 with the implementation of a pilot project in an Italian city.
